Steel Options :

Shade Classic can be supplied in two different steel options;

Stainless Steel

The stainless steel option is fabricated from 316 marine grade stainless steel with a 360 grit finish.  This means that should it become scuffed or scratched it is easy to refinish with a ScotchBrite pad.  Stainless steel gives the canopy a very contemporary feel that blends well with today's modern garden designs and furniture.

Mild Steel

The galvanised and powder coated mild steel option is slightly cheaper and gives a different aesthetic.  The tough galvanised sub coating will prevent corrosion while the powder coating gives a more pleasing finish - the colour can be selected from any of the standard colours held by the powdercoaters.

Timber Options :
  Minimize

As well as the steel options we also offer Shade Classic in timber.  These laminated timber structures are made to order from Canadian cedar.  The natural oils in this wood mean it doesn't need to have any additional treatments to prevent it from rotting.  Over time its initial reddish hues will weather down to an almost silver complexion.  The finish can be restored to its initial appearance by a gentle rub with sandpaper if required.  All additional fittings are fabricated from marine grade (ANSI 316) stainless steel.
