Step 1.
Start with filling out the “Customer form” details. Providing your house number and postcode allows us to use google maps to determine how your space is affected by sun throughout the day so that we can make recommendations about your design.

Step 2.
The dimensions you enter into the “Build Conservatory” section creates an exact scale model of your space. You can guess the approximate size of these dimensions if you just want a general idea of the look and price but for an exact quote measure these to the nearest 10mm.
You need to enter these in mm.

Step 3.
“Main sails” This is where the funs starts – the design you started with will now have been scaled to suit your space and the total self-fit cost for this design in your space including all fittings, delivery and VAT will be shown at the bottom. You can now make small changes to this design OR start to create something completely unique to you. Turn on the presentation view to add colour to the sails and back to design view to make changes.

Note: When you make changes these changes are sent to our server and then the updated model information is sent back to your computer. It can take 2-3 seconds to update the model or a little longer if you have a slow internet connection.
Tip: You can rotate the model when you are in 3D view using your left mouse button. To help with controlling orientation the view is limited to views from the sides and above.
Step 4.
Adjust the position of the end points – In Design View Only - use the button on the slider bars to adjust the position of the end points on the sails – if these don’t show when you first open the model turn the sails off and on again using the bigger button next to the sail description. Move the slider to the left or right and then wait for the drawing and price to update. Once you are happy with the amount of overlap you can switch to presentation view to get a clearer idea of the coverage this will provide and the overall aesthetic of your design.

Step 5.
The “Accent sails” section is used to add infill diamonds or triangles as a way to fill in the gaps between sails, add interest to the design with subtle shade and shadow or to add a splash of colour. Remember the view you see is looking from above and the size of the gaps shown is an approximation based on the average shape of the sails. If the size of the gaps is important you can speak to your designer about this after you submit your design.

Important – please note.
Your information is not saved unless you press the submit button. When you press the submit button a copy of your model with all of the changes you made will be forwarded to one of our designer to review and they will contact you to discuss your requirements. Once reviewed we will send you a copy of your information, view of your design and the total costs for the design you have chosen to the email address you supplied on the customer form for you to keep. If you are not ready to submit your information simply use the print screen function on your computer but please note this information will not be saved once you close the design tool and we will not be able to retrieve this information.
If you want to compare two designs you can open a new browser tab and create second design in a new copy of the design tool.
